Ever wanted to host a birthday party for the young ones or a function for your organisation or work group? Why not book with us for a family-friendly, affordable option that is sure to put a smile on everyone's face!
We have over an acre of space here in Minogue Park for birthdays, bouncy castles, marquees, parking and other activities. With plenty of shade near the train station, it's a great option for a train themed party and easy access.
Pricing
The Hamilton Model Engineers is one of the cheapest ways to have an incredibly fun day for everyone to enjoy and partake in. Ticket prices are as follows:
Single Fare - $2.00
10 Fare Concession - $15.00 ($20 Value!)
60 Ride 'Party Pack' - $75.00 ($120 Value, best deal for parties!)
For only $75.00, groups of 30 people can ride twice each for example! And remember, all under 2's ride free! (Accompanied by a fare paying passenger).

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you provide power, water or other facilities for our event?
Unfortunately we cannot due to water & power limitations within our own facilities. If power is necessary, we suggest a low-noise generator.
Can we book an event on a Sunday?
Absolutely! This is the preferred and most common method of booking, which allows for your group to ride our trains whilst we are open to the public from 10:30am - 3pm.
Can we book the trains for a weekday, Saturday or a Sunday you are not running?
If you wish to book trains for a weekday or a Sunday we are not running, this may be available for larger groups upon special request. Get in touch and we'll see what we can do! We are not available for Saturday bookings sorry.
Are bookings weather dependent?
Unless arranged prior for large groups, trains will not be able to run in forecast torrential rain. This would likely mean your party outside in the 'sun' wouldn't take place in the rain either, so we usually don't have many issues there.
Do I need a certain number of adults to every child?
We would recommend that if your group contains a large number of children under the age of 5, they are accompanied by at least one adult per carriage (one carriage can usually fit 4-5 children & one adult).
Can we bring equipment like Bouncy Castles?
Bouncy Castles are only allowed by Council Permit. Please contact the Hamilton City Council if you wish to bring a bouncy castle.
What if I want to host a larger scale event open to the public?
We're always keen to get onboard with new ideas in Minogue Park. Get in touch with us if you have a bigger idea in mind.
