Update regarding the Post Convention Ramble

Hi everyone,

We have received word from Dave Giles, the organiser of the Steam N' Steel 2020 Convention Ramble that the Mana Ariki Railway trustees have declined permission for the ramble to visit their track north of Taumaranui in January 2020. This is a very disappointing position taken by the Marae Trustees, considering the money and effort put into maintaining their facilities over the past year.

None the less, the show must go on! The backup plan will now take place instead, which is to travel to Taupo and visit the Huka Falls, Wairakei Geothermal Power Station, Aratiatia Rapids on the Waikato River and more. For all the information and the full schedule for the ramble, download the attached PDF file.

The Convention Ramble is not being organised by the Hamilton Model Engineers. Please contact David or Lynne Giles for more information.
