The Hamilton Model Engineers are open every Sunday of the month providing train rides for the public around our tracks at Minogue Park. We run weather permitting from 10:30am - 3:00pm (with a volunteer lunch break from 12:00pm to 12:30pm). For more information please see our running day's page

The First Run for 2024 is on the 21st of January.
We run every Sunday of the month (Weather Permitting). In addition to any special events or night runs.
So Please check the calendar for any special events we may have as well as our Facebook Page for updates.
VOLUNTEERS WANTED To Help Run the Railway
To the lovely people of Hamilton and the Waikato, the Hamilton Model Engineers is in need of your help.
Do you have a spare Sunday or two a month to help us out with running the railway?
We are looking for new members from all walks of life to come and join our club.
Do you want to learn how to drive as well as help to Maintain our club locos and rolling stock?
Other duties can include:
• Clipping ticket’s
• Running the station
• Help setting up for the day and packing away at the end of the day
Membership is only $10.00 per year, with plenty of options for families and children of all ages.
Minimum Age, if joining on your own, is 14 years and over.
